Opened Wednesday December 16, the new Palliative Care Center “Insieme nella Cura ” of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital in Rome, with a total of 60 places authorized by Asl Roma2, of which 12 residential and 48 in home care.

Located into the building of the Center for the Health of the Elderly (CESA), the structure aims to ensure the best care and forms of assistance for those patients in advanced stage of illness, with a strong focus on the quality of life of the patient.

The Center, the first activity of a wider initiative, meets a need felt in the Lazio Region, will be characterized by continuity of care with the University Hospital and will help spread the culture of palliative care.
